News Original Playwriting
Update: The Reading Day has been cancelled due to lack of support. Heartfelt thanks to Jane Edwards and Taunton Thespians for all their support in helping to organise it and to the competition coordinator Pam Hillier for her sterling efforts in trying to reinstate a reading day!
The reading panel met as usual to review the scripts that we had received for this year’s competition – and we have an outright winner!
Congratulations to Neil Walden with his play The Flag
In an effort to encourage people to take on original scripts for production at the County Drama Festival, Neil’s play and three others will be read at a special Reading Day on 18 November (see below for details)
If you would like to come along to The Place (the studio theatre of Taunton Thespians) and take part in or just listening to four plays being read, please contact Pam Hillier before 9 November (email@example.com)
Sunday 18th November
10.30am till 4.00pm – lunch break at 12.30

The map shows The Place marked with a red cross (please note that Haydon Road is one way only) – there is parking on site for around 10 cars, but there will be no charge for cars to park in nearby Victoria Gate car park, where there is a footpath leading from the car park to The Place
