This year’s AGM will return to the old format when we can all gather together in person. Last year Covid restrictions meant that the Somerset Fellowship of Drama’s Annual General Meeting was held on Zoom and while it was lovely to be able to see everyone at a time when we were all restricted in our ability to meet, it is even better that this year we will be able return to the traditional annual get-together.
This is an interesting and challenging time for the SFD and it would be good if we had a big turnout to discuss the future of our activities as we move out of Covid restrictions and also look afresh at the role of the SFD and the competitions we organise. So we would love to have as many people as possible joining in and having their say.
This year we will be at Ruishton Village Hall on Saturday 30th October 2021. We will start with tea, scones and cakes at 2.30pm to give us all time for a catch-up before the formal proceedings commence at 3.00pm.
SFD Chairman Sam Allen said, “We really hope that as many people as possible attend. It would be great to see representatives from all our member societies. We really do want to hear from people about what they want from the SFD and how we can get back to full strength following the pandemic that hit amateur drama so hard and prevented us from doing what we love – entertaining people.”
Watch out for full details which will be published soon.
